Tennessee, The South

Nashville is an amazing mixture of live music venues and historic antebellum architecture. Check out the legendary Grand Ole Opry, the
Country Music Hall of Fame and RCA Studio B where the "Nashville Sound" was created. For a taste of the 50's schedule a stop at Loveless Cafe.

You will be enchanted by the scenery in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which straddles Tennessee and North Carolina. The
Chattahoochee National Forest contains pristine wilderness areas and the start of the Appalachian Trail which extends 2,175 miles to Maine! In Chattanooga visit the Tennessee Aquarium, the famed Chattanooga Choo-Choo and the many art galleries in the city. Closeby is Lookout Mountain which provides a panoramic view of seven states!

Memphis is the birthplace of rock’n’roll and home of the blues. Tour Sun Studio where Elvis recorded his first record. It's still an active recording studio. Visit the National Civil Rights Museum. A must-see is of course Graceland - even if you are not a huge Elvis fan. Discover
where BB King's guitar was made at the Gibson Guitar Factory. Find out how black and white music was merged at the Stax Music Museum and the Smithsonian Rock 'n' Soul Museum highlights the origins of blues, jazz, rock 'n' roll and gospel.
