New York State

Overview

Often when people think about New York they think of New York City, but there’s another New York beyond the ‘Big Apple’ — it’s New York State and it offers Niagara Falls and other undiscovered wonders.

As you travel to the world–famous and majestic Niagara Falls, you will discover that the state of New York is vast. And the variety of attractions, activities and events that are available during each season of the year is extensive. Did you know that New York State is the third largest producer of wine in the United States, the Adirondack Park is the largest state park in the continental US and there is a chain of canals for cruising similar to those in Europe?

Combine your visit to New York City with an adventure into New York. Long Island is famous for mansions, vineyards and beaches. Hudson Valley and Catskill Regions, are known for their art galleries, nature preserves, exquisite historic mansions and a great variety of wineries. Further north is the Saratoga Springs region, recognised for its history, horse racing and mineral baths. Further north again is Adirondack Park: 600,000 acres ideal for outdoor adventures including horse riding and hiking.

You’ll find the stunning Finger Lakes,ts numerous waterfalls and quaint villages. You will also find scenic Letchworth State Park — the Grand Canyon of the East!
