Take flight to Connecticut with Aer Lingus (via Dublin) and land just north of Hartford, directly into the relaxed countryside of New England. A drive to the south will transport you to the coastal town of Mystic.
Home to tall ships, the town of Mystic has a magical and charming ambiance. Mystic Seaport, the aquarium, the largest Native Indian Museum and Olde Mistick Village — a unique
shopping village built in 18th Century style all demand your time here.
Woodstock is a quintessential New England village and oozes character. There are superb restaurants, bars, shops and galleries all on your doorstep. Within a short drive are top area attractions including Quechee Gorge and Billings Farm. Witness the spectacular Fall colours, watch cider being made and visit a maple syrup farm.
On the edge of the White Mountain National Forest, the classic historic village of Jackson is only 8 miles north of North Conway and yet away from all the hustle and bustle. Claimed as ‘New Hampshire’s best kept secret’, Jackson has a Honeymoon covered bridge, historic architecture and cascading waterfalls. Drive the scenic Kancamangus Highway or take a ride on the famous Mt. Washington Cog Railway.
Kennebunkport is an astoundingly picturesque town on the coast of Maine. Sea captains built fine mansions here, many of which are preserved today as lovely inns with antique charm. Today, the town offers lovely coastal walks, boutique shops, art galleries and seafood restaurants, where lobster — a culinary delight can be found in abundance.
